Moving On

Following on from the album Reflections, this takes us on another journey exploring new avenues and experiences, some tongue-in-cheek (Money, Frère Jacques), others deeply moving (In Memoriam, Ship of Dreams) and everything in between.

Glass Ceilings

New sounds, new beats.

Steady As She Goes

A nautical theme.

Frère Jacques and the Three Blind Mice

A cheeky foray into the realms of nursery rhymes and childhood.

Nightlife

An evening drive around town.

Tesselations

This fast-paced and hypnotic piece is based on a piano composition by Suzie Shrubb.

Money

I was eleven when I bought my first long playing record “With the Beatles”. John Lennon singing “Money” set the benchmark for what a rock and roll singer should be. I have always wanted to do a cover of this song, but was never able to do justice to it until I found a new context. This is a new [piss] take with an important gender bias correction and also features my grandson.

Solfeggietto

Jazz – classical fusion of the two Carls.

Sunday School Ain’t No Picnic

Small town, big problem.

Into The Light

A journey from the shadows.

French Connection

Sinister goings on in the dead of night. What’s happening? I don’t know, but it doesn’t sound good.

Tears for Tutankhamun

Back to the pyramids. A North African flavoured piece in 7/4 time.

Ship of Dreams

This is dedicated to all those who perished on the Titanic.

In Memoriam

The first Jacobite uprising, 1689.

Calypso

Hot weather, hot music – time to go down the beach!
